Sleep Study – Severe Obstructive Sleep Apnea

This one I have been quiet embarrassed talking about. I’m not overly sure why, never mind the fact I’ve always had issues with my weight which I am embarrassed enough about, but a fatty that snores…and loudly for that matter, it’s not something I wanted to shout from the roof tops. As well as that I found people weren’t that kind about it. The snoring started when I was only somewhat overweight, at least that is when people started telling me I was snoring. Some friends were kind about it, some were not at all. So I stopped going anywhere that I needed […]

Health Update – Is it Lupus?

I mentioned in my last post that I was having a funny year health wise, well that statement couldn’t have been more accurate(my last post was 3 months ago…no blog awards for me!!). I went for a colonoscopy in August, and I had myself prepared to be told there was something wrong, and in a way I was looking forward to finally having the answers to why I felt so unwell and had a complete lack of energy. I was looking forward to being told something was wrong, strange that! but I spent so long beating myself up over not being able to […]

Exploring Krakow, Poland

Krakow has been on my bucket list since I visited Warsaw a few years back, I was amazed about how beautiful the country is. I had a misplaced preconception that it must not be nice if so many people are leaving to live else where. It was Poland that made me realise how foolish that assumption was. Sure just look at how many Irish leave for Australia, Canada even over to the UK, and its certainly not because our island isn’t beautiful. If I thought Warsaw was nice, I was not ready for Krakow. This place is as close to perfection as a […]

Life Update: August 2018

There is this loop I constantly seem to be stuck in, and its frustrating AF. It is a loop I am going to HAVE to break. Let me explain, I get an idea, become somewhat tunnel vision with the idea, and I go for it, I am focused and giving it full effort, only to become completely distracted and nothing can get me back on track. This seems to go for most things in my life, weight loss being one, this blog being another, being creative being the other!! I know that it is normal to become distracted, but it takes me months […]

Book Review: Sleep Tight

Sleep Tight by Rachel Abbott This is my second time reading this book…or should I say listening, I am a huge audible fan!! And I loved it even more the second time around, I have read all of Rachel’s books apart from her brand new one “Come a little closer” which is next on my hit list. The series follows the story and cases of DCI Tom Douglas but his story doesn’t really take off until the next few books, this book “Sleep Tight” is centered around Olivia Brookes and her utterly devoted husband Robert. But when does devotion become obsession? The twists […]

Diet Diaries – April 2018 Day 1

Diet wise has been nothing short of a disaster so far this year, but I’ve said it so many times, you will see me fail a lot but you will never see me give up. I decided about a week ago that the first of April was “cop on” day and I was going to get serious about losing this weight. Mentally it was good, I had time to accept this in my mind, and I decided to eat whatever I wanted without guilt and enjoy it, and let me tell you that is exactly what I did (well the guilt is always […]

Book Review: The Next Girl

Well here is is, my first book review. I actually quiet enjoyed this process. **Advanced reader copy** The Next Girl by Carla Kovach, the first of the Gina Harte series. A captivating and intriguing read. Thank heaven’s for snow days and books like this. I genuinely couldn’t put it down, just look at my stack of dishes and unmopped floor, even though I’ve been snowed in for 3 days now! If you like a good detective led mysterious thriller…quiet like Rachel Abbott’s book series, then you will definitely enjoy this one. And I am so excited to see the second book is in […]

2018 Goals

I love the new year, always have got excited for it, I am generally one that loves starting new things and lose interest in them very quickly and a new year is no different. The start of a new year I am fill with anticipation of what the year will bring and anything that didn’t go right this year can now be last years problem and suddenly it doesn’t seem like a big deal anymore. And all the resolutions too, ideas are made of a more slimmer happier person, I will magically become a morning person who is more organised to bring a […]

Lets talk about weight

Since January is nearly upon is, it’s only right that we talk about that diet i’m sure we will all be starting after the festive indulgence. Now, I have a rule that the January diet doesn’t start on the 1st or even the 2nd, because I am never organised to start eating healthy, let alone ready after new years festivities, so I normally pick in around the 5th to stop eating the junk! Lets talk a little about weight. Weight….this word has plagued me for the best part of my life, to make a long story short, I was a normal weight kid […]

Crochet Baby Booties

I’ve always wanted to learn how to crochet, and when my brother told me his wife was expecting their first baby due in November 2017, it was the perfect time to start and let me tell you I fricken love it, I found it very relaxing. I know at this stage it will be a girl hence the colours, but my friend is also expecting a baby in early 2018 and doesn’t know the sex so I will make a gender neutral colour also. There is a something very personable about making a gift for someone, the thought and the effort that goes […]
